Have you thought of traveling as a kind of lazy rest after months of hard work? But they’re much more important than that. Travel is a lifestyle that has many advantages that cannot be denied.
I have been thinking for a long time about writing this article to show you the reasons why I like to travel so much. Travelling is good for everyone in many ways. I’ve asked some experienced travel who have visited dozens of countries and are still discovering new ones to tell me what are the advantages of travel and why it’s worth travelling.
Discover yourself
Travel to discover yourself. The more you travel, the more opportunities you have to analyze and know yourself. Travel is indeed a great teacher who not only teaches you about the world, but also teaches you and your place in it.
Change yourself
Travel to change. The more you travel and encounter new experiences, the more changes occur in your life, and your views about yourself and the world gradually change.
Become More Tolerant and Understandable
Traveling makes you more tolerant, sensitive and understandable. The more you travel and learn about new cultures, the more you start to accept more and more. You realize that your way is not the only way to live. There are many other cultures from which you can accept certain aspects. So in fact, travel broadens your horizons and gives you a 360-degree view of the world.
Appreciate your home
Maybe it sounds weird. You seem to discover beautiful new places and countries during your journey and you never want to go home. Because everywhere is good, but at home, you know it best and you realize it even more when you travel.
You start to understand that your home and country are unique in their own way, they have something that is not present in other countries. When I traveled a lot, with such a big contrast I realized how beautiful Belarus is, I created a website for planning a trip to Belarus. So travel around the world to appreciate your home!
Open Mind and Less Prejudice
The reason why it is worth traveling is to have an open mind and get rid of prejudices. I was afraid to travel because I had all these preliminary beliefs that people from some countries were bad people. But when I started to travel around the world, I realized that this is not true and that people are almost identical all over the world. I estimate that 97% of the people are good, but the remaining 3% of the bad people are noticed by the media.
Discovering New Cultures
I love to travel because I like to learn. It is difficult to travel, to truly communicate with other cultures without learning something new. I love days when I travel and say yes. “Yes, I didn’t know about it or yes, I never thought about it.” A few days of travel are a mystery you have to solve when you stand in front of a ticket machine in the Budapest subway, and you don’t know a Czech word.
Broadening your horizons
The biggest advantage of traveling is the understanding that the world is bigger than our small part. When we travel, we see how other people live. By getting to know other cultures, we accept the new, good things we see and appreciate aspects of our culture that were unique and we didn’t realize it. I hope this will increase our empathy in dealing with people, even in our own environment.
Discovering Beautiful Earth
You should travel to see the incredible beauty of this land, which we are endowed with. There are so many kinds of beauty in deserts, mountains, oceans and fjords. Seeing these ecosystems, we can understand more concretely what we may lose if we don’t care about nature.
A better understanding of Other People
There are many reasons why people travel. Many travel to get away from their lives or problems. Others to get to know different cultures. Others travel because it’s cool. I love to travel because it helps me to be more tolerant and communicate better with other people.
People who never travel are bombarded by some propaganda that aims to divide people into groups and make us believe that our neighbors are terrorists. The more you travel, the more you will learn that we are all the same and all have the same feelings and emotions. Traveling won’t necessarily make you a better person, but it can help you.
